Beauregard Arc, Inc. was established in 1963 by concerned parent who wanted a center for their adult child(ren) to attend for activities during the day. These parents realized their sons / daughters would always need guidance and support in life. Thereby, a spirit was born and BArc was established in the community to assist those citizens to achieve their personal goals.
BArc’s philosophy is founded on the belief that each individual in our community is a person of worth. Each person has value and can contribute their individual skills, talents and strengths to the community. Each person contributes to the whole if they are given an opportunity. All persons receiving services at BArc are helped and supported in this philosophy.
BArc’s mission is to assist developmentally disabled adults toward independent living in the community. This mission is accomplished by teaching self-directed skills, community living skills and job readiness skills. BArc strives to help families who request these services for their family member in fulfillment of this mission statement.
Beauregard Arc's goal is to provide the development and implementation of an individual service plan for the person who is developmentally disabled. The concept of an individual service plan is to direct training for the client toward accomplishing more independence in the least restricted and most self-directed manner.
